Everything is pretty much on time now the only outstanding issue is the custom surge tank which I was told today will be delayed as the guy is on holiday

So we may yet be delayed but by outside influences, every thing under the bonnet is done now apart from the power steering (Mec's on that), fuel and the oil feed line to the turbo which I picked up late this afternoon and will fit tomorrow.
Oh and the extra wires to be tided up.

If your stuck Matt, let me know what you need regarding the surge tank and I may be able to help.
Regards Andrew.

Tks Andrew I'll email you a few pic's later.

Few more bits complete, 2 of the pipe couplings to go to the Craig David pump and the radiator brackets.

Brackets mounted, just need a little bracing Awill4x4:D to stiffen them up.

Return hose is through just awaiting the coupling. Feed hose just requires a hole in the floor and the custom flange for the pump.

All on target for been finished tomorrow, Monday will see the wiring done for it and hooked into the ignition live of it's own relay as this will run constantly.

Those Key chains are 100% USA! ;)

Matt - I need to send you one of my special "Red" FJ40 key blanks!!

bezel_650.jpg

Edit: You have my address.

This one is attached to my comp key, I have the original Toyota key but it's well worn and you can take it out of the ignition while the engine is running which is not a good thing if you roll and the key falls out of the ignition on it's own

This has happened once when I put the truck on it's side I learned a valuable lesson that day. So at comp now no bunch of keys, just one new one.

Oil feed to the turbo is connected.

As stated before the intercooler is connected all the way to the rear, you can see here the 4 way splits in situ.

Have also re routed the coolant return from the turbo and T'd it into the heater hose/oil cooler return line that runs into the bottom hose feeding the water pump. The hole in the thermostat has a 1/8 bsp Allen cap plug.

Ordered the custom surge tank today, but this wont be ready until Wednesday the 28th, all been well. If this is on time we will be complete by Friday the 30th.

While I'm waiting for the surge tank I will tidy up the outstanding electrics, figure out a solution to the water pump bypass hose and re plumb my constant air.

I CAN ALMOST HERE HER PURR :steer:

Boost gauge fitted and just need the backing light hooking up. Already T'd into the ECU boost gauge line.

KnN RU-2520 for dyno rated up to 900CFM, snorkel and the washable sealed cone filter will come later and mount out side like a Donaldson.

Over all complete apart from the fuel system. Oh yes and the bypass hose for the water pump.

The package is looking very professional.
Glad you re-did the turbo water cooler lines as well. You have done everything else the best way possible and now that corrects the only thing that was worrying me. ;)

Custom Aluminum flanges to replace the ones from the Craig David pump to suit our pipe sizes. Last piece in the intercooler puzzle apart from wiring the pump and thermo fan in, but that's the easy bit.

Inter cooler is now complete and operational. Just need to run the live feed to the relay from an ignition live and one from the battery.

Looking good Matt, can't wait to hear it roar. btw, have you got this at home now?

No working on it at the mechanics, will be there from 9am tomorrow until maybe 4 if you want to call in and have a look.

Mate I'd love to- thanks for the offer, unfortunately I have a s***e load of stuff to do for Uni tomorrow (and for the next few weeks).
Pretty soon the final works for the semester will be in- and I will have a brief respite before it all starts again in a couple of months... (but then you probably know all about this with your misses is going through the same thing?)
I am looking forward to coming out for another visit soon.
Hopefully I'll be driving my beast out next time.
Cheers mate,
Hans.

Power has been restored,

Wolf V500 has a green light promising, the wide band oxy sensor has as it should a red light. I have an ignition light. All gauges are still working

Next up the ignition feed to the thermo fan and water pump relay and take a live from one of the batteries to the relay too and hmmmmm think I'm just awaiting the surge tank :steer:

The light is soooooo BRIGHT :bounce:

Hooked the lap top up, well I'll be dammed, it works.

Nothing exciting but if I press the accelerator peddle the you can see the result here :bounce: TPS bar goes up and load which is the lower clock move correspondingly between 0 and 100%.

Air Temp and Engine temp also work :bounce:

Also swapped out the key for this one :D
