265/75R16 on stock FJ55

I keep going back and forth on tire sizing for my 1973 FJ55. It has stock suspension(and height) but the tires will be mounted on the rims from this thread(Need Steel Rim Replacment help - 16x7 - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/need-steel-rim-replacment-help-16x7.802540/)

Will 265/75r16 fit without a lift? Or would 255/70R16 be a better option?

Should be no problem. They're approximately 31.5" tall. I have this size on my 80. Let's see a photo of your 55!

Woah, that looks like a South American piggy and appears to be in very good condition body wise. The rear fenders have been flared out a bit I believe.

Not sure it’s from South America. A few owners ago did some work on it. Was repainted maroon at that point. I think my favorite part might be the vintage door knobs for shifters.

Yes, my speculation was based on the original photo only showing the exterior. Check out the overdrive sticker. Would that be the low knob on left?
