This is why you wait. Don't buy into the "they are getting harder to find, will be collector car one day" nonsense.

Wasn't there someone here cheerleading the other day for someone selling a white LX with more than double the mileage moaning on and on about how it was worth 25k? Lol

1 owner. 2006. 41k miles. Just a few oil changes. JTJHT00W064018690

I certainly hope nobody is claiming that the LX will be "collectible" in the future.

The interior on that poor truck could pass for 140K miles. Easy.

LC guys are hyper sensitive to rust.

Even people who have a beautiful undercarriage who should be proudly displaying photos never do.

99.999% of people who drive don't even realize how important it is.

I've been searching for a good example for years now and out of thousands of contacts, literally less than 10 ever volunteered undercarriage shots without me pulling teeth.
I admit, I’m sensitive to rust...hyper might be a stretch though. I’ve had both, rust free and rust buckets (older Toyotas). I’ve learned my lesson on working on Rusted out trucks...I’ll leave that to those that enjoy endless rabbit holes corrosion causes on a rig....

While we're on the subject and off the original one, what does this board recommend to properly wash your undercarriage? And how often? Do you just up spray the hose during normal, periodic washes, or something more specific? Just curious. Southern truck here, so not too concerned but would like to make sure I'm not missing anything important.

I do (at $25K) think it was a steel if clean. Apparently some one else felt as I did. It's gone.

A lifelong New Jersey truck with a ratty interior that recently failed an inspection report and was towed to a service facility prior to being listed for sale is what we are waiting for?

I’m not sure that I agree with that.

Also, your obsession with the 100k mile Texas Lexus is reaching a “kind of weird” stage. I agree that his price is high considering it needs the TB/WP service. However, I would still pick that one over this one. Rust is a lot harder to repair than a timing belt. It is also obvious that the Texas Lexus was well cared for while this one appears to have been someone’s “winter beater” it’s entire life.

it’s also funny to me that people look at outliers and expect for the rest of the market to fall in line. I’ve seen people brag on this site and say “Well my truck sold in 5 hours!”. Congratulations....that means that you are also an outlier and sold it too cheap.

I use Ajax in my Ryobi electric pressure washer that allows you to mix soap with the water. Ajax is the best thing I've ever come across to get rid of grime then the pressure increases it.

Spray everything hard and let it dry. Then spray MAF cleaner on all of the electronic/wiring areas to get rid of any water.

Then spray Fluid Film everywhere besides the electronics.

Repeat as often as necessary or at least once a season.

NEVER EVER get talked into undercoating, 3M or anything permanent. Water and grime will eventually creep underneath and make the situation worse plus you aren't able to see it until it's too late.

Has always kept my trucks rust free. And that's truly rust free, unlike many of the "rust free" LCs you see on here that have rust everywhere.
Do you do this on the ground or lift her up

I'm scared to post mine up for sale on Mud, it's a 2007 with 200K miles i want $20,000 for it.

If it's black and rust free PM me and I'll give you a fair price for her

It's not black but it's rust free, and im not gonna sell it for less than 20K. All maintenance up to date, nothing needed right now but gas and just drive.

Yep, i agree, but there are some who prefers the 100 over the 200, just like someone else paying the same amount for an 80 when they can get a 100 for cheaper. I wouldn't call them stupid, it's a matter of preference, besides i've got 5K in mods on the vehicle, so price is right.

Anyone with 20k cold cash who is relatively stupid enough to blow it on something as essentially unnecessary and poor of an investment as a luxury SUV can easily get a 200 series in any color they want with 60k less miles and the same condition at best or the same mileage and condition at worst.

And this is exactly why you have been searching for months. You will continue to search without ever pulling the trigger as you watch great trucks sell while you continuously bitch about how expensive they are. ItsNotTime apparently.

FXFormat: Put it on eBay and Autotrader. It will sell much closer to your asking price than if you were to attempt to deal with the majority of people from this forum who will “make a fair offer”.

Is this the same guy who said he sees well-maintained, rust free, 06' and 07' trucks around 100k miles listed for $12-13k all the time? Surprised he's still looking. Best of luck!

I believe it is. I legitimately can’t tell if it is a troll account or if the guy is just delusional.

I’ll read some of the posts and think “troll. For sure troll.” but then others that I *think* are serious.
