Installed an OME BP51 on my LC today at a very reputable shop. Love the way it rides. I was told the factory setting from OME were kept when installed and they weren’t adjusted at all….but I’m looking at the side to side being almost 3/4” different from passenger to driver in the front and about 3/4 in the rear. Both front and rear the passenger side is lower.
What’s an acceptable difference from side to side?
Pics attached start from passenger front and go counter clockwise.
Curious if this is what’s to be expected or is there something not right that needs to be fixed-and what that could be.

they have an adjustable collar dont they?

I should say the front coil overs are OME but the back are not OME- they’re fox with OME springs and not adjustable. I’m more concerned with the front..

twist one of the collars up and the other down a bit
put a spring shim under the one back side
its not uncommon and should be tweaked

I would give it a few days to let everything settle. The kdss is very finnicky and takes some time to adjust to the new suspension components too. When I installed the WD pre-collar lift to the front of my HE the lean was almost a half inch lower in the driver's side. After a trip and a couple hundred miles it got better.

I wouldn't worry about it. It might settle in some and level out, but probably not.

I have the same setup, and I have almost 1-1/2" difference in the rear. More than I'd like, but I've learned to ignore it. I even called OME to make sure I had the springs installed on the proper sides. Best way to fix it is to install a spacer ring on top of the low side rear spring, I just haven't done it yet, but it's only been 4 years... :p

Don't bother trying to use the KDSS to level it out, it won't work.

I wish this was as easy as it sounds. You have to remove the front coilover, then compress the spring (need a spring compressor) to take the load off the collar.

It's best to mesure fender lip to center of wheel. This removes and impact of tire defections and air fill.

KDSS “lean” on a healthy system isn’t a thing. The whole point of the balance screws is to even things out. Keep in mind cruisers have been leaning since long before KDSS was introduced.

The root issue and correct way to address it is with the coils.

Exactly.. got it.
Going with this train of thought I checked the rear coils to see if they were installed on the wrong sides because these are Australian… it specifically states they’re opposite for US cruisers..

the lean is introduced when the vehicle is lifted - if the suspension has been installed correctly, then the only lean is due to kdss
