First post. Really been reading a lot on this thread. I’ve decided to pull the trigger on a 2021 LC HE. Lots of Blizzard White avail. Few of others. I do have to park a bit of the time outside and I live in Southern California. I think the Black looks so sharp on the HE and in person the sparkle in the light is really nice. I’ve thought about ceramic coating in hopes of avoiding swirls. I currently have a grey similar to the Toyota grey and it’s by far the easiest color next to silver to keep clean and still look aggressive. Anyhow, we have 4 color options to choose from. Which color best brings out the class of the truck and ties in with the bronze wheels?

Please help!

Grey!

I am bias. White. Why? It has an extra coating...thus, “tougher” paint against brushes/trees. Not sure if true, but white may also help with interior temperature during hot summer.

I think the black with the bronze wheels looks the best but only a couple hours after a paint correction and detail. After that the pin stripping and visible dirt and grime would drive me crazy. For that reason we chose white (my daily driver is silver and I don’t want matchy matchy), I’ll enjoy looking at anyone else’s that’s black and rest easy at night knowing what a PITA they have on their hands. That being said, we are doing a ceramic coating and some xpel on the rockers and parts of the front. On my daily vehicle I have gtechniq crystal serum and it’s been awesome but it’s also my first vehicle with ceramic so I don’t have much to compare it with.

I would really like to see the silver and grey HE in person to form a proper first hand opinion.

Grey

Grey just arrived yesterday!

If it were my money I'd choose grey and then white. Nothing is prettier than black but the maintenance program associated with that color isn't worth the hassle IMHO.

Good news is you can't go wrong. Black looks the best to me, but nightmare to keep looking proper. I wanted a unique for 21' color and debated between silver and grey. Already have a grey 4runner, so silver it was. Looks ok with the bronze wheels, and very very easy to keep clean looking. Roof rack was removed within 20 min of bringing her home.

Powder coat the wheels black and you’ll love it more 😎

For long term, I chose white. I wish it was UN White but it’s not. Gray would be my choice if I was going to mod it immediately but I plan on driving it “elder style” for a few years. Roof rack did come off same day!

Be careful PCing forged wheels. Regular powder coat curing temps can weaken the aluminum.

The Blizzard Pearl is simply stunning IMHO. It glistens in the sun AND stays cool.
Note I drove a Black 2000 100 series for 19 years and I can attest to the time it takes to keep it looking good.

So I would recommend:
  • Blizzard Pearl
  • ONLY Blizzard Pearl
  • Blizzard Pearl all day every day.
Yes I'm biased.

Edit: go to a dealer with lots of white trucks in stock and tell them you REALLY want a black one. Maybe they'll knock off some $ to sell you a white one. :)

"Elder style" lol, I love this, definitely using it myself haha.

Thanks, I didn’t know that. In that case, not worth the risk.

Test drove a white one today and it really does impress more in person. The metallic paint catches different colors at different angles. Bone stock with the wheels and subtle features it’s just beautiful. I spoke with Erik from Ed Martin and he was saying the grey would hold more value as it’s more rare. Hard to know since its so hard to see these in person. I’ve never owned a white car before, but blizzard pearl is nice.
