The Pryor clan will have:
80 series fusible link
80 series axle shafts, all 4 corners
80 series birfs
80 series tie rod/drag link
80 series driveshafts
80 series belts
80/60/40 series knuckle rebuild kits (we pick up a couple sets from Georg for the event)
60 series rear driveshaft
enough gear oil for a full diff fill up
enough grease for knuckle job

some other random hoses, brake lines,...ect

So, a lot of 80 stuff and a 60 driveshaft that wont even work on the FRANKENGOAT

@JohnnyOshow22 Flying in with any spare parts?

I will be shipping a box of spares to the house before the trip. Just waiting on @MountNGoat to tell me what he wants from my horde of 80 parts

Newsflash!!!

One spot has opened up on the Wagon Run so if you wanted in, here’s your chance! PM me for info.

Okay, that didn’t last long - the run is full again! Now, back to wrenching...

Late in the game, but I'm in the bay area if anyone needs a spotter or if a passenger can't make it. I have a Hundy but wont be locked and armored under side til 2019 trip. Icehouse and El Dorado Forest is my hunting hood!

Wish I could bring you along, but the plan is to remove middle row seats for a platform/storage area, and my son will be my co-pilot. I'll probably have room for some gear if you find a seat.

So Mrs. MountNGoat’s ‘97 80 is just about ready. It’s 3x factory locked, on 35’s, and only about 110k miles. In prime condition, it’s a real Black Beauty. But she’s determined, and having been down this trail four times is in no way underinformed as to the possible carnage.

Last year @justintpryor broke his pside birf (he’s on 35’s, stock axles) early on day 1 shortly after leaving Loon Lake and limped it all the way into the Springs in either 2 or 3 wheel drive (3WD if he locked the front - which left him with no steering under braking as the broken birf just allowed the front pside to lock up under braking). Fortunately a spare was found - RCV’s no less - and after an IOU was established both sides were obtained but we only installed the short pside shaft in the springs after cleaning up the internal mess that comes from such an event.

With that in mind, RCV’s were procured for Mrs. MounNGoats rig, along with ARP knuckle and drive flange studs, from Valley Hybrids. All of this was installed this weekend, and unfortunately we discovered a full knuckle job was also in order after opening things up. As a bonus we now have both OEM front shafts as trail spares, and a bunch of OEM knuckle and drive flange studs as trail spares, too.

It is now time for Step Six and some tri-tip on the grill. I hope your prep is also going well!

Steve-Can I buy you some bigger jack stands?

LOL. "Her" truck sounds like it's going to spank the Rubicon with little effort.

Nice choice on the RCVs.

Sure, you buy me some bigger jack stands, and I’ll buy that 80 series front pside light housing from you!!

I'll give you the headlight for the front axle of the parts 80! But if you want the headlight now, I'll box it up and send it to you. Warning, I'm on the East Coast the next week, so can't send until then.

You need minimum 6 ton stands, and having 6 ton and 12 ton stands is good. It's all Chinesium, so overkill is good.

Congrats to Andrew Pollock! He is the winner for the extra Grand Prize Raffle Ticket for the month of April.

Now get your registrations in. Here’s the link: REGISTRATION – Rubithon

You have 12 more days to get your registrations in before the $25 late fee starts. After that you shirts will be mailed after the event. So get those registrations and get those Toyota’s ready for some great summer action at this year’s 30th Annual Rubithon!!!!!

It is with regret that I have to inform that the Metal Tech 4x4 Run has had to be cancelled due to some unforeseen issues. I’d like to thank Mark Hawley for being willing to put this together and hope that we can make it happen again in the future.

That being said, in true TLCA member fashion, one of the other runs, led by Steve Prior, has offered to take those people on to their run. Steve, I know you are already doing a ton for the event, and I can’t thank you enough!

My apologies to the guys we had to move, but thank you for your graciousness and understanding in the change.

The good news is Mark is still sending out all the Rock Chef swag for this year’s Championship of Champions. Thank you sir!

Remember 12 more days to avoid the late fee and having to have your shirts mailed to you.

Eric
