Since I “accidentally” pulled all the guts from between the intake manifold and plenum (in the process of removing the PAIR system), I decided to pull the intake and put it all back together properly. In the process, I’m replacing all the hoses. I managed the PHH last night with a silicon replacement and constant torque clamps... not fun but feels good to get it over with.

@1994pd I just noticed you have matching rear quarter dents. Well done. Always a fan of equal rights.

About to put the intake back together. While I’ve had it apart I’ve:
  • checked all the VSVs
  • replaced all the vacuum lines (except for two that I can access through the wheel well because I ran out of OEM replacement hose)
  • cleaned the upper intake (didn’t bother with the lower)
  • will be replacing all the gaskets
  • replaced the PHH and the two TB bypass hoses
  • One of my injector plugs was loose so I wrapped some craft wire around the injector and plug and twisted tight enough to keep it snug. I have a replacement connector but unfortunately the broken tab is on the injector side.
  • I pulled the PAIR system but I’ll just be capping the hose as it exits the hard line from the intake and leave the rest intact.
Anything else I should do while I’m in here? Otherwise, I’ll throw it all together tonight and hopefully start it up.

Last weekend on my 80:
Changed out worn-out Power Stop 100 series pads for CHEAP O'Reilly ceramic 100 series pads.
Rotated tires
Washed it inside and out (For son to drive to Prom)
Broke the sunroof cable
Changed out the flat spare again.

It's time to change my rims. The chrome POS have finally peeled and corroded bad enough that one rim is leaking.
I guess I have to clean up the rims I bought from @StucknKS over a year ago.......
I also bought a new throttle cable. Still need to install.

Assembly is 99% done. Need to add the kick outs on the side and the struts. My basket leans a little, but it will do for now. If my ocd gets the best of me I will cut it off and fix it later. Tomorrow primer, Saturday paint.

I had some extra paint so I sprayed the spare wheel. I like it so much all of them will be painted soon.

I'm planning my front axle rebuild. Does anyone local have a 54mm socket that I could borrow for a weekend (or maybe a week)?

If not, I found one for $17 but figured I'd ask first as this is probably the only time I'll need it.

I have one but I’m in Columbia. I’m pretty sure one of the KC guys will chime in soon
