New owner sent me an update on my old GX.

And one of the tundra on last weekend trip to the river.

Post cut, of course everything was filed nice and clean. Cable retainers installed to mitigate the mud flap getting tore off by the tires in a deep mud/snow/sand condition. View attachment 2601822View attachment 2601823
I love your work here.
How has this been holding up? Any concern of exposed underbelly? Have you used anything to fill the gaps?

Thanks, nothing to fill the gaps. I installed the bumper a month or so later.

Yes I miss the GX. I wish I never sold it and just bought the Tundra to add to my collection. It’s was so damn comfortable and the engine was smooth.

Thanks. We love the Tundra. The 5.7 is fantastic.
Understandable. Looking back we should of kept my wife's GX470... Miss that thing.

Well I may be back into a GX460(2021-2022) soon. Wife wants a luxury vehicle and between the LX and GX, the GX fits us better. This time I promised to do just a 2” lift and 33s. That’s it! 😆

Keeping the tundra for towing and camping. Keeping the 4runner for wheeling/daily.

I have a 2013 that I wheel and we bought my wife a 2020 a couple years ago and she absolutely loves it.

I loved our 2017 GX and wish we never sold it. We were looking at a few big suv (gmc, Lincoln, Nissan, LX) but decided we wanted something a little bit smaller and reliability was the top priority. GX was an easy decision.

🤣

We’re going to test drive a few this Saturday. Hopefully she falls in love with one. Which one has the rear airbags so I can avoid it?
Not sure on what years and trims on that. I just know my 2010 base doesn't have bags.

Ya my 2017 didn’t have airbags either. I plan on adding rear 2” coil springs and want to avoid having to remove the bags. But if she finds one she loves with bags I’ll just deal with it.
That's fair. That is one of the 3 reasons why I ultimately went with my 460.

Luxury models. Two easy ways to tell…first, on the most rear window it will have chrome trim all the way up to the top of the window and the premium and base will just have it along the bottom. Second, in the cabin it will have 2 additional switches for the rear air and adaptive suspension. Happy shopping.
