Just received this email from Toyota Corp on their 75w transfer case fluid. What’s everyone’s thought on this?

The 75w is spec’d for the new Tacoma’s and tundras as well but no dealership stocks 75w or even heard of the weight. All said they get the cheapest (Valvoline 75w90) bulk oil and use it for all transfer cases.I’ve only seen the 75W spec on the Torsen diff equipped models...LX,LC,GX and 4R Limited
Ravenol 75W is widely available
Definitely. That’s why I’ll be cutting the GX front bumper to gain 4-6” of clearanceThat pic of your vehicles in the snow really highlights the major difference in approach angle between the GX and 4R.
The awning is easily removable with the tool Ironman provided. The victory 4x4 awning mounts are also easily removable with the tool I carry with me. Maybe 15 minutes to swap sidesQuick question: how easy is it to swap from one side to the other?
I'm thinking if you're stuck having to park in one position and the awning is on the wrong side of your rig, like in dedicated parking spaces at comp grounds.
Big fan of cutting and plan to do it myself here soon (actually went and saw rig on lift today!)
here is a super helpful video for cutting the rocker panel covers. Btw you’ll need to do this with sliders anyways if you don’t want exposed holes in rocker panel.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on cutting the front/rear bumper and side steps to gain clearance? Found this online and drooled.. haha

also. Have no interest in buying the CBI sliders after seeing this.
additionally (for those that care) they don’t say “Lexus” on the sheet metal cover. A lot of guys were surprised and upset by this. Do like the fact they’re full length, but screw taking a grinder to a brand new set of sliders. I think I’ll go RSG. Many good options out there. The ronin metal ones are awesome looking as well but he only makes super limited quantities.
