Recently went through this decision myself, purchased a Land Cruiser a few days ago.
I'll echo what
@Canyonero stated about Lexus service having owned an IS-F a couple years ago....Lexus service is
amazing and cannot be compared to many others. But, since these are still Toyota/Lexus vehicles, we hope there won't be many trips to the service department anyway. Yes, Lexus oil changes are more, but they have sandwiches in their waiting room vs. popcorn at Toyota
Aside from that, here are a few more tidbits of comparison facts I recently jotted down between the two:
200 Series Land Cruiser vs. Lexus LX570 Differences (2013 MY's)
EXTERIOR
· Every body panel is different minus the doors (may be just the front doors).
· Lighting (front & rear) is different as well.
· Overall length: LX 197” vs. LC 194.9” (wheelbase is the same)Gain is purely body panels (grille/bumpers)
· Weight (gross): LX 7385 lbs, LC 7275 lbs
INTERIOR
· Lexus has a completely different dashboard configuration. Center console is also completely different.
· Lexus’s gauge cluster is entirely different, very Lexus’esque with white led needles and laser blue surround lighting.
· Stereo is enhanced with the Lexus’ “Mark Levinson” stereo (but if you do a 2013 LC, the upgraded JBL system rocks too)
· Leather quality is supposedly premium in the Lexus
· Rear (third row) seating in the Lexus is power-folding operated
· Interior dimensions are nearly the same, with the largest variance being Lexus’ front hip room at 58.8” vs the Land Cruiser at 59.4” and cargo volume: LX 83.1’ ft vs. LC 81.7’ (cargo volume to seat 1)
CONVENIENCE
· LX has a rear power lift-gate, LC does not
· Neither have opening rear side or back windows (sorry fido) :-(
ENGINE
· LC = 381HP 401tq (87 octane)
· LX = 383HP 403tq (91 octane)
SUSPENSION:
· LC = KDSS system, no AHC (AHC is a hydraulic system, not pneumatic as thought by many)
· LX = AHC, no KDSS system. AHC drives much differently in my opinion.
TOWING CAPACITY
· LC = 8500 lbs
· LX = 7000 lbs
WHEELS
· LC = 18” stock
· LX = 20” stock

MANUFACTURING:
(From BENO, IH8MUD)
"The LC200 for the NA market comes from the Tahara Plant, a bonafide Toyota plant where they make the
4Runner and the GX460 as well as most Lexus derivations. Considered the most advanced/efficient manufacturing plant in the world.
The LX570 is made wholly at the Toyota Auto Body (formerly Araco) Yoshiwara Plant where LC's have been manufactured since the early 60's. The 7X series cruisers are also manufactured here as are LC200 series for the ME/Africa/Europe."
(From GX-R) "Check the 11th digit in your 200 series VIN.
4 = Yoshiwara
5 = Tahara"
