Hey Georg,

First Happy Birthday ya hippie! :)

Second, Since some of us are getting there before you, Is there a location or spot that you had in mind for you or a general area you don't want us pitching camp in? Like where you want to hold the raffle etc..

Or should we not worry about that and just pitch the darn tent wherever?

Cheers, Look forward to meeting a lot of you!

Anyone Gonna be on 2M that's gonna be monitoring???
Looking at the map, you take boards crossing and that splits FS route N502, and that later splits around the river. Where that splits you go Left and that is sort of a round about/ trail end??
I should be there late afternoon w/ beer in hand telling lies and tall tales!!!

I NEED THIS!!
So stoked.

BTW, I'm usually on 146.460 on my 2M!!

hey guys.
glad you all can make it, bummer about the few who can't. there will always be next year.......
as to the campsites, i like being close to the end of the trail near the river, right by the rire ring but it really does'nt matter much. as long as we have a spot where everybody can gather around for the raffle.....
see you up there saturday afternoon! :steer:

The family and I had a great time. What a beautiful place. I think the kids had the time of their lives, and they made several friends too. :)
I didn't get to wheel cause my back went out, but the good vibes and scenery more than made up for that..

Thanks again Georg for another great 45 Run!

Here's the kiddos with their raffle prize they love 40's

I said the trail is easy because it is. I drove my bone stock Troopie in there. Stock gears, stock manual steering, stock drum brakes, stock 4spd, stock t-case,......never got stuck, never broke anything. Never had to put it in reverse on the way out.

If the trail was too challenging, then we'll have to find a location accessible by dirt roads. Or just meet at the local pizza joint and bench-race. :flipoff2:

Okay, more pics in order.

At Angel's Camp, we fell in behind this group of nice early Broncos, and a few older Jeeps. They turned off at Murphys.

Thanks again Georg. I think it was a great balance and the campsite and the river are better than Deer Valley. If we want to wheel DV, we could do it from here pretty easily, and there's Slickrock trail even closer. Maybe we could switch off one year at each spot?

I don't think Robin had to use reverse on the way out either. She was really getting into it.
