Great fishing spot. Especially if you're willing to hike a little.

I couldn't agree more. That place was really nice. And we meet some really nice people ( talking to you NorCalLC!) I would rather take bees than squiters anytime and not freezing my nutzs off at night was an added bonus:). As far as those Creepy shadows..well I saw one and unless those dogs had wings and were about 5ft wide and about 6 ft long..this "thing" I saw was floating about 6 to 7 ft off the ground between the trees. I'll leave at that!

Uhm ...... it's an 81 HJ45.

Georg

Aah, I thought it was the HJ47.

77 thru 82 H engine so HJ45
83 and 84 2H engine so HJ47
All years 2F engine FJ45

This applies to tropes and pickups. Wagon were only built from late 62 thru 67.

Ps: there are also BJ45s out there .....

Good pics everyone and sandrat62, we (Megan & I) really enjoyed hanging out with you guys. I learned way too much about your past:eek: BTW, I'm researching some HAM radio info to send your way, mainly the easy study course to get your licence.

Since this trip and time of year coincides with Hatch NM green chili harvesting, I'm thinking next years event we should do a little chili cook off??? Anyone? Maybe do some homemade sopapillas. Now I'm hungry...

Georg, PM or call me about this when you have time(anybody want to volunteer for the "raffle chairman" job? setting this event up solo has turned into a little bit of work)

Well, I can't eat beans. And I don't do too well with spicy foods. So guess what ....... Andy, you're in charge!!!! :grinpimp:

Man that sucks, well I'll have to do my homework and make up a special batch of non spicy but flavorful chili for you "extra white" people:D. I'm including my wife in this group also...

Hey Andy...sorry! I have to blame Mark and his "special" Tequila for loosening the filter on my mind!..lol. Now that you know so many secrets, no blackmailing ok??:D

THIS little creek crossing was more deceiving than it looked!

a few years later.... just trying to get a feel on how difficult this trial is. I have a stock fj60 and going solo to hollow creek trail in a couple of weeks but wanted to find a good spot to camp prior. This place looks awesome!

Can i make it ok or without denting my rig?
How far is the campsite from the trailhead?

thanks!

If you have any wheelin experience and you pick the right lines you won't have any problems.
Our friend Stephanie brought her FJ62 a couple of years ago. She was a complete novice and got the cruiser all the way to main camp without a scratch.
