2011 Fj wheels on a GX 470?

Anyone mount up the newer FJ Cruiser wheels on a GX 470?

Any issues?
What tire size are you running?
Any photos of this combo floating around the net?

I was going to run these, but found a set of the older style local to me, and the price was right. I believe those are the same specs as the ones I have, and I'm running 265/70/17 Duratracs with no issues. Those are good looking wheels, and the FJ wheels have more aggressive offset than the stock GX470 ones.

Those look nice. That is the same size I am looking to get. For some reason I thought the newer rims were 8" wide but looks like they are the same width as the older style 7.5.

how much more offset? Might be a good choice for me to reduce the rubbing on the UCAs I get at full lock.

I think it's + 10mm. I just got a set mounted up yesterday. They fit nice.

They have worked out great. Here is a shot when I had them mounted up. I guess it's been a few years now, no issues.

FWIW, if you go with a larger tire (285) that offset will cause rub in a big way. I got method wheels with -12 offset and 4.5 backspacing and chopped the body mount and no rub at all (even flexed at full lock).

Thank you both for your reply. I am not going any bigger than the 265's, like I said this is the DD and the ride needs to stay pretty stock for a long while.

I have the 80 series for the 35" muds .

I really like the look of the 2010-11 FJ rims that you have pictured in the third pic. The GX rims should transfer to the 35" rubber and all should be good!
