Reviving a thread.
Picked up a nice 2014 LX570.
Drivers side arm slider thing (what a goofy thing) is broken.
I am gluing the broken bracket back together like you all have done. I am missing the silver roller spring thing.
is that going to be a problem?
have any of you figured out a way to lock these goofy sliders in place (permanently) and then be done with it?
thanks
Has anyone tried jb weld on that little plastic post piece that seems to break off?
Seems like I can only put glue/jb on the bottom of the post since the flipper thing sits on top and around the plastics post that has snapped out. I’m not sure how sturdy this would be, initially was hoping to put jb around the base of the post to make it stronger but that likely would impact the flipper from fitting over it.
finaly question, if I go with a elevator bolt solution, do I also still need to glue to plastic post down?
Any advice welcomed!

About to head to Lowe’s to find the elusive elevator bolt.I had same issue, first time around i opened it up and found a screw and screwed it from top of that piece into the bottom plastic and put everything together. lasted for almost a year, broke again recently. this time i took some JB weld stainless steel and made the surface on both sides of where i drilled previously. then took a screw and put it through top side of broken piece through the JB weld. this time when i was taking it apart i broke the plastic slider pieces as well on which the whole armrest slides, i used some glue and put the plastic piece together. it is working as of now but i think now if it breaks then i will have to replace the whole thing.
And i did not use the plastic post thing at all. i think you can use strong glue but JB weld will not work with post since i will be sitting high and the pivoting piece will not grab the latch on sliding bar to move.
