2010 4Runner

Test drove one at Tarbox Toyota yesterday. I'll be in the market for a new vehicle as a family hauler. the Sienna just hit 110K. It runs great and I'm sure has plenty of life in it, but its just not cool to wheel in a minivan. I'm impressed. It feels like as much room as an FJ80 inside. Lots of styling cues from the FJ Cruiser interior as well. Too bad Toyota ditched the V-8. The V-6 seems to have plenty of power though. 5K towing capacity isnt too shabby either. Will have to get the rear locker option and downhill assist. Anyone else drive one yet?

The only thing I didnt really like was the door panels. The window switches seem out of place being that high on the panel. Ive only driven the v6 ones and they seem to have plenty of power, but I would have rather seen the v8 than the 4cyl. Theres alot of useless features that 90% of the people who buy them will never use.

My Step Father picked his up yesterday and I am hoping for a ride this weekend. He did not get the locked rear axle. He did get the V6. Same engine in the FJC I believe. Same platform I think too but not 100% sure on that. I'll get back to this after I take it for a ride!

I traded in my 2007 Tacoma for the 4Runner trail edition this week. I love it so far; especially the "party mode" button on the dash! Seriously, it has a party mode that transfers the sound to the rear speakers for tailgating. That's one of many features most people will never use.

I saw one a little while ago and both me and my wife thought it was GD ugly as hell. What's up with the rear lights? Maybe the rest will make up for it.

You're right. I bought one and I hate the rear lights. I don't know what they were thinking.

You'll learn to love it. I hated it at first but I love it now.

The rear locker and the fact that you can disconect the front stabilizer end links in "rock" mode with a knob in the cab makes up for the ugly tail lights.

I just bought a Corolla tonight for my daughter from the local dealer, I made them promise me a test drive in a new 4Runner. They sold all the ones they had, might have one on Tuesday when I go to pick up the car.

I want a Party Mode button.

I was at the dealership last week looking at Tundra Crew Cabs.. That's my next ride for sure.. Looked at the 2010 runner while I was there. It's not bad, but I can't see parting with my 04 4th Gen 4Runner for it. Especially now that I've just purchased front and rear ARB lockers for it. I'm also curiois on if ARB or Shrockworks will be able to work out a bumper for it. Doesn't look as simple as the early gens.
