Spotted Richard's rig as we were leaving a small town south of Pueblo CO. Let the spottings begin as we decend on Golden. Heading to Pikes peak where I hear Richard and crew are also going to.

Can't remember for sure but are some folks planning to camp at Prospector CG on Lake Dillon tomorrow night?

BTW, Cody, leaving Slee at 3:30-4:00 will put you in the middle of rush hour. Not that its like a Saturday morning in ski season. Just a thought.

I'm planning to be there Friday afternoon/evening, assuming the dealer gets my wheel bearings in tomorrow. bah.

Darn. I'm going to miss you. Need to be back home early Friday AM. Drive safe and have a good trip. And good luck with the bearings.

I don't think I'll make it to Slee's. I need a day to decompress from the Moab events that took place today. I'm physically and mentally drained.

I'll be in Breckenridge though.

Tough day today @TonyP. See you at Breck.

I hear ya, Tony!

Julie and were both wiped out after the second full day with Hells Revenge/Gate, Top of the World), and the late night deer strike to top off a long day. Fun stuff and wish we'd been with you today too... but I figured if the wife is gonna do this again...needed to relent & unwind a bit before hitting Breck. -Oh the compromises of marriage... ;)

I swear wheeling keeps the driver in a continuous, adrenaline-powered, hyper-alert mode... Nothing like it, but tiring.
I can only imagine how tired y'all are after *yet another* super long day!

Had an absolute blast in Moab with y'all & glad you & others got another day in... Looking forward to drone footage updates!

See you in Breck in our Thursday group!

Anyone heading from salt lake
city to Breck?
Willing to pick up a part and drop off in Moab?

Have fun all.

Who hit a deer?

Who hit a deer?

I did...on the 10:00PM highway back from Top of the World. Hit brakes, but no chance to avoid as it came bounding right to left out of nowhere.

Deer hit hard but stayed at bull bar height as you hope. Only damage was a bent license plate and had to re-aim my Stedi driving lights! Totally unscathed otherwise.

Deer did not fare so well. :(
Beautiful, healthy coat...but T13 did its job.

Jeez, glad the truck, I mean glad no one was hurt. Ironic this happens to the guy who seems to talk most about bull bars for animal protection!!

So what you're saying is Venison for dinner in Breckenridge?

Imported from Utah nonetheless

Funny you mention that...

-A local resident (lives on one of the beautiful ranches on the way to TOTW) stopped to see what happened... We walked back to find a *gorgeous *animal...heart still beating (but unconscious, thank goodness) and I asked (seriously) if he knew anyone who could make use of an obviously healthy deer. He said his buddy might do just that. So at least it wasn't a complete waste... :(

Did you dispatch the animal?

Did you dispatch the animal?

I absolutely would have, but when I returned to the poor creature about one minute later, it was no longer beating.
Mercifully, it was clearly unconscious throughout.
