I had never seen that mentioned about the MAF. I knew or felt I knew it was an electrical component related and not an electrical system issue. Higher rpm out of the box makes me think the MAF was not the culprit in my scenario. Tie will tell. I am using a Mitsibishi MAF, and it was new at the time of install and I still experienced stalling.FYI, the stall issue on my rig was the MAF connector. I pulled up TorquePro and looked at MAF readings while it was running....prior to the stall, the MAF readings would fall off a cliff, which then caused the ECU to cut fuel and created a stall.
A few others have had the same problem.
It's usually not the MAF itself, it's the connector. They are kind of puny and it's easy for them to have a bad connection.
