Hey Folks
Trying to solve a new issue with the wife's 2001 LX470. I'm experiencing the total loss of sound control + loud popping that (according to my research here on MUD) is associated with a failing Mark Levinson amp. As I continue troubleshooting, I have two specific questions:
1) Any chance that the amp would reside in another location, i.e. NOT under the front passenger seat as I've read? I see a depression there, but no amp. Which leads me to....
2) Any reason that pulling the radio fuse would NOT cause all noise to cease? Shouldn't this cut all power to the head unit, speakers, amp, etc?
As may be obvious I'm suspecting the previous owner pulled some chicanery in the circuit, though how/why is beyond me. Any input is appreciated.
