After owning a black Land Cruiser I will never own another...but they do look nice after all the scratches are buffed out and clean
That's a beaut. That's the shiniest snorkel i've ever seen.

Nahhh. there is lots more info to come, leave it open for others to post their HID experience and ask questions. Save more threads being opened on the same topic.

To early to lock I will be posting up actual amp draw when I receive my kit within the week.

Cool, I think maybe it would be a good FAQ for future (when this thread finally dies down lol) HID installers.

hurry up and post up the results. I think my Axial's stock harness may be melting from the 55W HID kit I just installed. and look at that cutoff! ...just kidding. LED's

FYI,

Here's a pic of the 35w Headlights and Driving lights on mine. For the headlights, I ordered the 5000k 9006 kit. I did need to use the aftermarket wiring harness ($7 ebay) for them to work properly. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/9006...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories The cutoff is fine and I don't foresee any issue even installed on a lifted SUV. The driving lights used H1 5000K kit. They fired up fine using the hella wiring harness. The camera made the driving lights appear blue, they are actually almost pure white. These are definitely off road only lights. I still need to swap out the bulbs in my IPFs. Will likley do the hyper yellow suggested earlier. I just need to figure out what bulb # to buy how to access the bulbs.

They seem to be the right shape, but I don't know about these particular lights. I would think your best option would be to take a measurement of your housings, then email the Ebay seller and request the dimensions of the product listed.

Also, a word of caution.... I noticed similar aftermarket housings (as in the Ebay link) in a new Ford Expedition over the weekend. It was the middle of the day yesterday, kind of overcast, and he was in opposing traffic driving towards me. Those "halo's" were VERY blue and really stood out (and his lights were not turned on).

Just thought I would ask a dumb question.....these lights dont seem right for the description they give. Says for the years 1998 - 05 land cruiser? I dont think they will fit.....am I wrong? Would like to do a good HID upgrade.

My kit arrived today on schedule USPS. The box was open and 1/2 of the parts were missing:bang:

I gave it back to the postal employee and ask to have it send back. It will go back to DDM marked damage. It will be interesting if I hear something or will I be force to make contact with DDM. I will give DDM a few days to contact me.

Sounds like a postal employee stuck his hand in the cookie jar. Sorry to hear that.

Mine shipped last night. FYI, DDM's site has a "SHIPTICKR" in the right side column that lists the orders that are currently shipping.

Looks like my replacement is on the way, hopefully right bulbs (and complete) this time.

EDIT - got the kit today. These bulbs don't have "k" temperature sticker on them, so who knows what they are. I tested everything to make sure it worked, the 35w ballasts wouldn't fire up unless I had them on the relay.

Installed the 55W Low Beams (with the relay harness from DDM) and all is perfect!!! Used the nice metal ballast mounts from eBay (link earlier in this thread) and mounted them behind blinkers, fits like a glove. For a test I tried w/o the relay harness, lights wouldn't turn on, added the relay harness and voila - killer new lights!!!

I would stay far away from these headlights. I ordered them aswell and what a waste of money. Bad sealing around the lense, didnt fit properly, bad detailing... I didnt even mount them and they ended up in the garbagge. Oh yeah... they really look like ricer lights.

I am still considering these... but the price is not helping me to actually get them..

I put these on my dad's 03 100 series, they are good lights! I had no fitment issues. I did have to reseal them to keep them from fogging up
