I attempted to install my kit today. The relay harness i received from DDM had the 2 connections for the battery. On the website, they show a red connector for positive and a black connector for negative. However, both of mine have black ends so there is no way to determine which is which. Did anyone else receive a relay kit with the same connections? Any way to determine which is which??

I did. The one with the fuse is the positive cable. If it is the same as mine you can probably see red wires near the fuse.

Dad just ordered a 35w 5000k kit from ddm.

is it safe to say that a relay is required for them to work properly?

Wire with fuse is +

Thanks for the info. Will be installing mine this evening. I got both of the turn signals out last night before figuring out I didn't know which was positive and which was negative. Had to put it all back together....

My kit arrived today on schedule USPS. The box was open and 1/2 of the parts were missing:bang:

I gave it back to the postal employee and ask to have it send back. It will go back to DDM marked damage. It will be interesting if I hear something or will I be force to make contact with DDM. I will give DDM a few days to contact me.

DDM can suck my #$$@

Call DDM about my order I was told once they receive the order back from USPS it would be a couple of weeks and it would be reshipped. Ok not a good answer but I can work with that .....Lets cancel my order then.....After almost 1 hour on the phone Melissa tells me they cannot cancel my order WHAT? wrong answer

American Express cancel there money in 3 minutes flat. :flipoff2: (with smile deleted)

Maybe after I calm down I will re-order with new address, new AMEX card

After having installed mine with the harness from DDM. I would recommend building one yourself. If I had to do it again, I probably would and still may down the road. The DDM Harness fits.... just barely. I wished some of the wires were longer and others shorter. The benefit of building the harness yourself is you can get it exactly how you want it and the install will look much cleaner.

Good to know,

and I was wondering if anyone had luck with it, are the wires long enough? wiring is my weak spot, although its more just intimidating to me than anything. So I am definitely unsure of how I would make one. I had to take the bumper off of my Altima to do the hid install there, but I got through that install just fine. With the relay does is just go from the battery and then to the ballast, or does it go to the oem connector?

Wow really feel like a noob all over again, hope you all don't mind.

That's a real bummer. Sorry to hear, hope you're able to work it out the next time around.

FYI, I used this relay kit. The power lead to passenger ballast was a couple of inches shorter than optimal. It's a great value however.

I keep waiting for my DDM kit to crap out... but it keeps working perfectly. If I was to do this over again, I would have still ordered the relay harness, but built my own, copying the model. I have yet to have the time to clean up my install and finish filling my "squirrel finder" holes. As mentioned, ideally, my harness from DDM also would have been longer. I still may make my own, if I have to replace any parts. So in summary, order the cheap harness, then copy it and build your own :)

Sorry to hear about your story, Phil. After calling them several times, I am not surprised at all :( I was also starting to get steamed. Makes me wonder what will happen in a year or two if a ballast fails.

Looks good Brother!

Ordered the harness last night, I should be able to figure out how it all wires in. Doesn't look too tricky

Mine came in today. I'm impressed by the quality of the parts and materials, they seem pretty well constructed. The bulb is about 1/2" longer than the standard H3 bulb in my Hella 500s, hopefully it'll fit!
