Hi guys I just bought this 2000 LC with 226,000 miles on it. I just noticed the driver axle looks like it has a little weeping. I cleaned it up with break clean in the second pic.

What do you guys think ?

Should I replace the axles ? The passenger sidr is not leaking at all. Do they look like oem axles ?

What is the best repair? Rtv and a helper zip tie ?

See passenger side below ; not leaking at all

Mine had a little seep there too. I cleaned well and then used a crimp clamp from napa. Sealed tight for me. I’ll post the part number for the clamp tomorrow when I’m back to my computer.

did you add any grease once you removed the old clamp?

Our axles have a boat load of grease inside of them. Hard to put any back in while still intact. I agree with others, put a clamp on it (don't over tighten it though) and I wouldn't give it another thought.

Any particular clamp that you all reccommend ? One of the no snag ones ?
