Well, the wires available back there are pretty small. Like 24 guage. You guys can wire at your own risk!Just a suggestion:
You might want to hunt down a unit that provides 2.4 or 3.+ to both outlets simultaneously.
Tablets and larger phones will take full advantage of the extra juice.

I am running the group buy through the end of the month so we can get enough buyers. I will most likely start cranking them out before then, as soon as I have a good count of how many we're talking about. Projects like this have to be done production style or it'a a total loss on my end! When will the covers be available?
Sorry it didn't work out for you guys who want it. It's not even close- probably a half inch too deep for the width it is.Thanks for giving the USB option a try. That was the shallowest mount receptacle I found in a fairly extensive search. I already have a dual port USB adapter plugged more or less permanently into the 12V outlet on the back of the console. I just ordered 2 lightning to USB heavy duty cords with right angle plugs to run up to the iPads when they are mounted on the seats (which for me will be only when my son borrows the LC). Looking forward to the covers!
