A pair of covers, please! I'm in. No USB.

I’ll take a pair with the USB ports. Thanks.

USB arrived. Looks nice, but may be a tight fit. I’ll test fit in the next couple of days and report back.

I found some black pleather at JoAnn’s today that matches the black pleather (maybe leather?) on the backside of the seat to a T. I’m going to test adhering a layer of headliner material to the plastic and then adhering the black pleather to the headliner material. I think this should give the cover the same feel as the back of the seat.

Just a suggestion:

You might want to hunt down a unit that provides 2.4 or 3.+ to both outlets simultaneously with a full 5V or more each.

Tablets and larger phones will take full advantage of the extra juice.

Well, the wires available back there are pretty small. Like 24 guage. You guys can wire at your own risk!

Pretty sure that's enough wire for two full power USB outlets.

Those screens surely took more juice...

For those that want power there, really one one outlet is needed to plug in whatever is mounted in the removable tablet holder that will replace the monitor. The problem is the space behind any cover is almost zilch. The device has to have a transformer to get the 12V to 5V and enough depth leftover to plug in a USB cord. For me, the very few times power will be needed there, i’ll probably just run lightning cords to the iPads from the 12V outlet on the rear of the center console.

Anybody know if the screen setup in the 16-17 LC is similar to the 13+ LX? Wondering if these would work in a LX before the giant screens debuted.

What I would like is a panel to replace the overhead entertainment in the previous years. Replace it with a cubby or a spot for something useful beside a screen with the resolution of a Game Boy.

You fancy pants '16-'17 owners can't have all retro fitting fun. :D

When will the covers be available?
I am running the group buy through the end of the month so we can get enough buyers. I will most likely start cranking them out before then, as soon as I have a good count of how many we're talking about. Projects like this have to be done production style or it'a a total loss on my end!

Thanks for giving the USB option a try. That was the shallowest mount receptacle I found in a fairly extensive search. I already have a dual port USB adapter plugged more or less permanently into the 12V outlet on the back of the console. I just ordered 2 lightning to USB heavy duty cords with right angle plugs to run up to the iPads when they are mounted on the seats (which for me will be only when my son borrows the LC). Looking forward to the covers!

Sorry it didn't work out for you guys who want it. It's not even close- probably a half inch too deep for the width it is.
