Stopped at Fruita in Capitol Reef to get pies and hit some trails.. rain changed plans on trails but the pies are worth the stop. Holy lord this place is super busy now, we were here a decade ago and we practically had the place to ourselves. We were lucky to find a place to park and saw a few of those influencers with mic’s DSLR’s in the wild for the first time…. Secret is out on this place for sure.

Currently in Hankesville at the guns, gas, and burger place deciding our next camp.

Sad to hear how busy it is now. I have a campsite booked at Singletree Campground in the mountains to the west of Capital Reef for 4th of July weekend. Was hoping to take a day trip or 2 to go exploring in the park. Now I just need to figure out a battery and solar setup on the quick to power the newly acquired fridge for 3 days. We will be roughing it in a tent. That is one sweet trailer setup yall got.

This should get you the solar setup you want.

We drove right past Singletree on the way to Capitol Reef. Far cooler up at that elevation so you should be good to go in a tent. Good spot to base camp and explore the lower elevation areas.

Thanks, I tent camped for 40 years then had kids and needed more room and conveniences, it’s a nice upgrade but there are always pros and cons.

Gave the Cruiser a break from tow duties and ran Shafer and Potash.

We broke “camp” yesterday leaving Moab for cooler temps in Colorado. This is our preferred way to stay in Moab. We camped the first night so we can do it but “can” and “should” are worlds apart in temps reaching 100°.

Can you spot the Cruiser?

which hotel was this?

our last moab trip (2 night river camp, 3 night hotel) wasnt this nice

My Cruiser is a chunky gal… but I think it’s the wide angle lens adding to the rotundness.
Wide angle lenses distort dimensions.

Hoodoo Moab Hilton. It’s not cheap but we do the Hilton points and after 10 days of camping it’s worth it. It’s our second time breaking up a trip at this hotel and I think it may just be a tradition now.
