Yeah I was laughing about that sign too. The sales people didn’t know much about the vehicle really. They even thought it had remote start. I told them it doesn’t and asked them to try remote starting it with the key. They were surprised when it didn’t work.
That being said, the salesman I worked with was incredibly transparent about negotiating the deal. I managed to get $1k off sticker. And their doc fee was even lower than average. Other dealers wouldn’t budge off MSRP or were asking over sticker.
Believe it or not, on Toyota's flagship vehicle that costs $86-91K, remote start is not standard. It is one of the very few options available on the vehicle and an overwhelming amount of them don't have it. It's absurd but at the end of the day maybe not a big deal because their factory remote start shuts off when you open the door which is stupid.
Are you sure it’s even an option? It’s not listed as an option on the Toyota website when I build a Land Cruiser HE.
Remote start was an option on my 2009 lx570.
No clue in regards to the HE model but it is an option for the standard 200.
Looks like remote start isn’t an option at all for the standard or HE model for 2021. Not listed anywhere on the Toyota build site. Agreed it’s strange considering this is the flagship model.
Yep, Mercedes has the same design on their remote start. The engine stops when you open the door. Idiotic.
