You and @Canyonero are the ones who inspired me to get the Mavic. I enjoy flying it a lot more than I expected, and it's an incredible piece of technology. Those pics and videos were taken with an ambient temperate on the ground of ~40 degrees, and the wind was blowing at a steady 20mph with stronger gusts. I don't know what the weather was like a couple hundred feet up where the Mavic was, but I'll bet it was colder and windier especially as I approached the face of the mountains. I didn't expect to be able to use the footage because I figured it would be shaky and blurry, but everything came out great!

I don’t want to hijack this thread, @mcgaskins and @TonyP but after all my fussing and saying I wouldn’t get a drone - I did. Just before the Aspen chasing vacation we took back in September. But never really had the time to learn how to use it while on that trip. (Funny story of how I almost killed a motorcycle rider on my first flight attempt.). But one of these days I’ll get the hang of it and have the time to go find something interesting to photograph. It is pretty incredible tech! But, again, don’t want to hijack the thread so if you want to discuss, PM me.
