I usually buy parts from parts.lagrangetoyota.com and they already have lower prices than what I'm seeing at that site. Plus the same free shipping offer up to a certain amount. Let me know if I'm missing something but LaGrange has a standard discount of around 30%, sometimes more.

The 20 percent is an additional discount off. So you get 30 percent then an additional 20 percent off and free shipping for orders over $75.

Thanks @gasman4u

When I go to the site and put in a part number, it makes me choose a dealer to fulfill the order. Is that what others are seeing? I ordered a bunch of parts last Friday from McGeorge Toyota, and when I put in all the part numbers and go to check out I still see McGeorge was cheaper even with the shipping discount which is about $39.

Only for participating sites. My go-to doesn’t appear to be included. Will shop around..

Also another local site linked directly from the above corporate Toyota page didn’t apply an additional 20%.. more digging.

Fred Anderson Toyota seems to have the 20% off and free shipping for orders over $75. You'll see the regular prices (typically 30% below msrp) throughout the site, then you'll see the additional 20% discount when you go to check out.

Makes for some very good prices!

Somewhat mad that I bought parts last week when they ran their 15% off "back to school discount". I could have saved another $5 on my order.

This all looks legit and the numbers add up.. but when trying to actually enter an address and place an order the site locks up. On two different browsers, on three different devices, on two different IP addresses. Voicemail with the internet parts department so far unanswered.

I've tried changing the contents of the cart

Has anyone found another site doing the same deal?

I may try to register a new toyota account to see if that helps.

Edit: same issue for me on other non-participating autoparts.xxxxxtoyota.com websites as well..

Interesting to hear. No issues using my smartphones browser for the link to Fred Anderson Toyota. Checked out as a guest and just received my order confirmation too.

Yup. Fred Anderson site worked for me on my desktop too. The 20% off was good at Serra toyota of Decatur too and prices were the same there as Fred Anderson. I tried Fred after it took over 6 months to get my parts from Serra from the sale order last year in March.

@TLC2013 thanks for the guest checkout idea.. that worked.

The issue seemed to be tied to these sites using your toyota owner's site login.. I was attempting to do that to have the transaction info saved (all $2k of it).. but three or four sites would lock up when I tried to check out with that account logged in.

Now I'm just crossing my fingers they don't get overwhelmed like Serra did last year. Fuel pump, new headlamps, a taillamp, fan clutch, and a bunch of other almost-200k-miles stuff will be inbound..

@gasman4u thanks for posting this!

thanks for the great post, stocked up on brake parts, wiper inserts, air filters, etc. Guest checkout works better.

Is fuel pump as a preventive maintenance item? Have you changed alternator?

Yes as PM. My truck has done the start/stumble thing a handful of times and the wear teckis found in his pump plus the few fuel pump ECU failures I’ve read about has me thinking this is a good idea.

No on the alternator. Most of those getting replaced have had a much harder life than mine, and I’ve had really good luck with factory Toyota alternators over the past 30 years of various models of car.

But the sale isn’t over yet..

The other factor is my understanding is all alternators even those sourced from toyota are remans.

A brush kit for our alternators is only $20. I had been mulling over doing a writeup on installing one.. might be a good time to do that.

That's dissapointing to hear. Another bummer is when sourcing a new OEM alternator from Toyota they are stamped made in Tennessee. Dissapointed to see that. I assumed it would show Japan.
I purchased one during last years sale to have on deck as my 200 sees a lof of dust, dirt, water etc during my typical trail runs. I am going to run the OEM/Japan until it fails.

What mileage are you planning on doing the pump and its’ ECU? I hadn’t considered this but now I am. With the sale it’s around $500 for both parts.

I’m only doing the pump, as my assumption is a failing part there may contribute to those smoked ECUs. But I’m almost at 195k and really considering all of this stuff a 200k refresh.

This is incorrect.

Disappointing, but thanks for the info.

I did notice we can order individual parts.. and I’d assume those are new. But just for example the rotor and coil add up, a lot.

Edit: MSRP for these parts

Rotor: $631
Coil: $1140 (I think this includes rear bearing, but not sure if it includes the regulator)
Front bearing, brushes, etc are inconsequential, comparatively.
