Yea you will need an adapter. MSD 8920. But at least you got your tac back on zero

A verbal update: truck now has 10,000km's on it. Still works haha. I've logged a few more tanks on fuel consumption, with some city driving, and it seems to stay in the range of 11, and 13L/100kms.

Room for improvement but a great platform to start with if you ask me.

One day at my worksite after coming back from break; a random guy from a different crew approaches me asking "Is that a 6 cylinder in your Toyota?"

"A straight six, swapped in." I said.

"Which one?" He smiles.

"A 1J." I replied.

"I'm swapping in a 2j into one right now!" He answered.


What a crazy coincidence. Not a lot of these things around that are 4wd.

So we chat for a bit. He's a Toyota guy like me. Turns out he had a 7M swapped into a runner already.

We made a plan for me to come by and check out his truck and see if he had the right driveshaft for me.

I pull up and see this...
