1hz temperature sensor location

your 105 was a FZJ105 or an HZJ105 .. ?

If was a HZJ the 1HZ for us ( General ) only have one temp sensor at the water inlet .. but the 1HD-T have 2 ..

yes we need picture and to know what the original engine is. I can post up pictures of all plugs...

G'day, my 1990 1hz 80 series has a temp sensor on the outlet and near the oil filter, the wires are snapped on the one in the outlet and I am wondering if it is detrimental that I hook it back up, it has ran and functioned fine without it for the past 4 years I've owned it

anyone knows by chance the thread size of the upper coolant sensor? (on the first picture)

The thread in the housing in the first picture is M16 x 1.5 . I know this is an old thread but I came across it looking for prior art on adding an after market sensor and pulled the sensor on my 1HDT to check it and order an adapter.

There seem to be mixed opinions on the purpose of that sensor. Dash gauge still works with it disconnected. I've left it disconnected while I see if I discover something that doesn't work now.
