Came across this twin pulse / dual exit / twin scroll exhaust manifold by Tillix performance in Australia. Toyota 1HZ Exhaust Manifold with CT26 Turbocharger Flange - https://www.tillix.com.au/product/exhaust-manifold-split-pulse-for-toyota-1hz-1hd/

Seems promising since these diesels live in low RPMs to prevent cylinder exhaust interference. In conversations with their sales team, they state " The split pulse design does make the turbo more responsive and give better low down torque on the 1hz/1hd-t. In the higher hp and torque applications like the fte have. We see on average about 13% more peak torque and hp as well, and better fuel economy. So for most people they can definitely see the value in the upgrade."

I am about to put this on my 1HDT, will keep the thread posted on results. So far Tillix has been very responsive and informative with fast shipping to the US.

Any thoughts on this? Any perceived downside to a twin pulse/exit manifold but SINGLE entry turbo? Anybody done it before? Are there any twin scroll CT26 or T3 turbos out there that people are using on the 1HD-T / FT / FTE platform?

I have their T3 manifold (to run with a twin scroll turbo) its not a great fit for the 1hdt as the ports on their manifold are square as you can see in the picture the ports on 1hdt are round the bolt holes have been milled out to fit the 1hdt studs. the bore spacing is off for the 1hdt slightly. I spent a bunch of time matching the ports as best i can by removing material but really for it to be right you would need to weld the corners of the squares up also. Their are alot of people that swear twin scroll even with an open scroll turbo can still be a benefit. i haven't done a back to back test. but i have done tests on other motors twin scroll turbo on open scroll manifold and then to twin scroll manifold and there is a significant difference. In my option every straight 6 with a turbo should be twin scroll. you might just weld a divider into your stock manifold and you might be better off, not sure. i wish i would have just bought a flange and made my own manifold with weld els.

This seem like the eclipse one and this was proven to be fraudulent company... manifold is now out of stock too... I am looking for the exact same replacement manifold for my set up...

@TheBussman thank you for the reply. I was told these "work flawlessly" with the 1HDT head by a Tillix rep, but looks like there is a significant amount of work that needs to be done? Also, what T3 twin scroll turbo are you using?

It may be that it works fine but the ports just don't line up like I wish they did. I'm going to try a Holset HE250WG with a 8cm twin scroll housing. if it's too laggy i have a 6cm one I can put on also.

Can you send me something that says they're fraudulent? I have an Eclipse manifold (the cast iron one, not the stainless, though I have owned that one too) for my 1HD-T. It has made a noticeable difference in low end torque, especially off the line. I have not measured that difference yet.

The stainless units were rough. So rough, they sent me a new cast iron unit and let me keep the stainless since it was so bad. The person who bought the stainless off me said it also made a difference off the line for their truck.

The Tillix is the same as the MWR4x4. I can't tell if they're just reselling old stock from Eclipse or if they are licensing the design and remaking them.
