Hey yall,

I have been researching turbos lately. I know I know. does anyone here know what garrett CHRA this guy used to "bolt in" to his factory CT-26 housings? I am very interested in this option. Please let me know if you have any info.

Not sure what CHRA he used Matt, but have you checked with Central Motive Power? They can measure your turbo and find all kinds of things that interchange....

Dan

havent checked with them. thanks for the pointer, i wasnt aware they could do that. i have a local contact with a mkIII supra ct26 that i could take up there. I know the compressor wheel and exhuast ar are different but if there is a BB chra that fits the stock housings im all about it!

looking for less lag, better cooling, flanges bolt up, looks stock, more comfy at higher boost levels, new insides, etc...

search for the CT26 upgrade then, 22psi ~1400rpm has been reported.

yeah thats the one that gbetnik has right? it sounds great but 1200 bucks is pretty pricy for me. esp when i could get a new garrett chra (depending on size, etc) for around 800

It looks like a CHRA that garrett made to fit the CT26 turbos. Everything fits up too nicely to be a coincidence.

Turbo companies love making drop-in replacements for their competitors parts.

Hey guys, that page is mine, didnt even remember that was still there lol

The center is a Garret direct replacement for a factory 1hdt ct26. The car is fully dismantled and the chra still has a tag on it, so i can look for a model # if you want.

Nice .. dude ..

Can you post your impresions about this update .. performance, max boost at lower rpm ..?

yes i would very much like that. thank you so much for your write up. also is that a 1hdt ct26 or a supra ct26 you used for your housings?

Part # on my center is 709505-1. It is probably the same one Denco has on their website that dousty noted.

This garrett of mine has 1hdt turbo specs, while the supra ct26 has a bigger compressor wheel, so you cant mix and match, you can however get your factory turbo fitted with the bigger wheel and new machined housing.

To be honest, i dont even remember, its been 2 years since the last drive. I now have a 4.5ltr car which now has a turbo on the "to do" list, on the very bottom of the list though.
