I know its an open question, but how many miles can these motor go for if properly cared for?

My 93 has almost 300k on her, and 30k ago I did a compression test; I averaged ~170 psi, FWIW.

My 96 has 140k and it's a powered rocket comparatively speaking. I threw that in there just to confirm that the 93 while compression wise seems strong, the 93 probably needs the head rebuilt and the injectors addressed.

My overall opinions of these engines are, they seem to die rather slowly and consistently.

It's the rubber hoses that you need to watch out for.

You know, a smart man would build a rubber to silicon hose kit.

MY '97 has over 195K showing on it. (Actually a lot more because I've been running 315's on it since about 50K.) So far, all I've done is replace the AC compressor and just recently, the EGR valve and modulator. I'm the original owner and have done frequent oil changes since new. Engine stil has a lot of life left in her.
