Well, I have scoured the forum, read all the previous post on the issues...my situation:

- LX has 121K on the clock
- Battery died due to not driving (batter is 6 months old) haven't found the parasitic drain yet
- Threw the battery on the charger for 2 days
- Once battery was in LX, no crank, solenoid is engaging, Starter fuse is good.
- Tried to tap on the starter to get the contacts engaged
- Still no crank

I unfortunately do not have the space nor the time to work on this, so unless there is something I forgot (that doesn't involve breaking it down to parade rest) I am about to have it towed to my Indy...

Am I missing something?

I would make sure battery connections are perfectly clean. Next I would try a different battery either new or from another vehicle with known good battery.

Battery terminals - Done...

Will look to get another battery...unfortunately my other car is a 911, and I have ZERO inclination to pull the battery out of that...

Yes, like BullElk said, try a different battery. Most auto parts store (except NAPA), batteries are garbage.
Toyota starters are geared so even with a small 12 V battery it should crank.Don't jump the battery, remove your 911 battery and mount it to your LX.

Battery. The LX takes a monster size so don’t cheap out on it. Interstate are dependable. The OEM usually is a Panasonic for 1998-2001 but those aren’t required. If a PO had a phone installed, that’s where drain can happen if it’s wiring is not all removed. Even leaving it sit for more than a week can drain it. If you plan to continue, keep it on a trickle charger.

Start with recharging the battery (out of the vehicle) then have it 'load tested'. That is the ONLY way to determine its condition. This will eliminate (or confirm) the battery as the problem.

Well, the LX is at my local shop for diagnosis and repair...will keep the forum posted.

It was the starter...so, that is done, heater tees while they were back there...that was a speedy fix.
