As stated in title, the driver side door on my 1999 landcruiser has a lock/unlock switch in which the lock function is not working and has no response. The truck is 99% stock other than a replacement engine.

Attempts:
Replaced door lock actuator driver side door (resolved weak lock/unlock when pressing lock button on fob)
Swapped new Driver side door switches (entire assembly) - lock button still inoperative

I have this schematic here from the 2004 EWD - does this help? Not sure how to read this

Thank you

wiring in Toyotas rarely goes bad. The door lock motors themselves are much more likely to go bad first.
If it is wiring, it's probably in the door itself. The doors have a wiring disconnect under the lower finish panel, you could do a continuity test on that wiring as a start

fuse?

door lock motor replaced, when locking the car from the passenger side door switch all locks work, even the driver side.
Just when the lock switch is pressed from the driver door nothing happens. But unlock works on the driver side door, entire vehicle unlocks

This continuity test you suggest - i have a multimeter, where am i probing?

If the fuse was bad, wouldnt the entire vehicle be unable to lock/unlock? it functions 99%, just not when controlled by the driver side switch , specifically the lock function. Unlock is fine from driver door switch

I didn't see in the original post about it being only the driver door having issues.

I’ve got similar behavior in my 99 LX. “Unlock” works everywhere, “lock” works everywhere except the driver door switch (it will work every great once & a while). I haven’t taken the time to chase it down, but I suspect a broken wire in the rubber tube between the door and door jamb.
