Most "LS" truck motors don't use oil coolers. Some of the more performance based car versions did. There aren't usually provisions for a cooler on the F-Body pan but you can get a manifold that bolts to the cover above the oil filter that has -AN in/out ports to plumb in a cooler. If you are using a truck motor, not building it for high HP then I don't think the cooler is necessary. It's also pretty easy to add later depending on what exhaust manifolds or headers you use and if they make access to that cover difficult or not. The link below is one example.Hey Rockrod.
