Hey Rockrod. I'm doing the ls swap and following your steps and expertise. We do not need to use the Toyota oil cooler radiator for the ls engine right? I believe the ls doesn't come with a oil cooler. Thanks in advance.
Most "LS" truck motors don't use oil coolers. Some of the more performance based car versions did. There aren't usually provisions for a cooler on the F-Body pan but you can get a manifold that bolts to the cover above the oil filter that has -AN in/out ports to plumb in a cooler. If you are using a truck motor, not building it for high HP then I don't think the cooler is necessary. It's also pretty easy to add later depending on what exhaust manifolds or headers you use and if they make access to that cover difficult or not. The link below is one example.

Thanks so much. My oil cooler radiator is in unused condition, so makes me happy that I won't need to buy a new one.

Hi guys. I'm trying to figure out where my LC transferase breather hose goes to. (photo 2) looks like it runs into the LC transmission line/dipstick. (photo 1) Would it be okay if I connect the LC breather hose to the 4L60e transmission or is there a better solution? Thanks

Also, please help me with one more question. I couldn't figure out what the highlighted part is and where it goes to. Can I cap it off? I'm working on the psi wiring, hope to get it running soon. Appreciate all.

Highlighted part is the outlet for the axle breather, and it goes into the left frame rail.
I was planning on using the T that came off the stock transfer case / transmission breather, hooking those two breathers together and then running them up high in the engine compartment

Alright, thanks man. I read through almost all the ls swap and could not find some answers. I'm using the psi harness and their harness doesn't have a plug into it. I'll reach out to them. Thanks for you time.
Definitely reach out to them you probably have the wrong harness is your engine fly by wire or has a throttle cable? The is a thread in the sticky section that is 80 series ls swap specific good place to ask questions or like I said start your own thread asking technical support. Odds you have the wrong harness or don't know the deference between the two.

If or when I do an LS swap in my 80 I would use the PSI harness as well.

How are you liking their harness? I scanned a few posts back and seen there were some issues but hopefully you got everything figured out now.

Totally worth the money. Initially I was thinking about the eBay Chinese harness but my good friend with the third gen rx7/corvette swap convinced me not to for in the past he had many problems with Chinese made electrical components. Psi pros: made in USA, instant responses to questions, easy installation, YouTube videos. Cons: wish the harness layout diagram is in color and the tac module plug is labeled, the red starter wires longer ( I had to extend by a foot), Very pleased with psi harness and their computer. Overall, not too difficult of a swap however time consuming. Started the first time. Thanks for asking Scott. Have a good day all.
