Hi. My 96 LC came with the dual battery option (how common/rare is this?). The factory cabling for the secondary battery is there, there is a metal base to hold a battery on the passenger side, and the windshield washer bottle is located next to the firewall, all factory installation. However, there is no box like the one of the main battery. Is it possible to get these, for the passenger side? It would be a reverse version of the main battery box. I've located it at Toyota parts.toyota.com but it is not clear if the one they sell is indeed for the auxiliary battery. I will give them a call to make sure.

The OEM battery box on either side of the engine keeps the battery cooler also which definitely helps with your batteries lasting longer.
It's also made to keep water off the battery ;)
