Well it's been fun. I guess you'll be spending all your time over here with your newest project. We're gonna miss Charles!

It's nice to know someone cares.
I'm not going anywhere. I know there would be a great disturbance in the force if I stopped posting my 5% tech / 95% BS.

Finally got around to installing Rob Smith Fabrications recovery point on my 77 Series.

What are the difference between the 1hd and the 1hz engine?

Im also interested buying a 77 from japan.

Post this question in the Diesel and 24V section of the forum, best place for this question

In preparation for the turbo and Intercooler installation, a new aluminum radiator is being fabricated and a new water pump and t-stat is sitting on the shelf.

Why not go OEM?

Available here in the US market and fairly priced.
Surely you're not asking me a technical / mechanical question. You of all people should know better.
I'm under the impression that aluminum radiators have larger cores and are considerably lighter. I've seen some fairly significant water temp. swings when the EGT's are high for long periods. I'm just trying to do everything possible to give my cooling system a fighting chance.

I tried to photoshop some mountains in the background (to have photos like Onur) but I lacked the necessary computer skills. :)

Some light tech reading. Interesting stuff. You mentioned you were having one made. Can you post up the specs? You should run some before and after number for comparison.
Cap-A-Radiator
Patience young grasshopper ..... I'm in Europe for the entire week while the Cruiser is in Georgia. Once installed, I'll gladly post details. :)

How about getting rob to design a new radiator that will incorporate a tranny cooler capable of keeping these autos cool and a water to air intercooler that will actually fit behind a 77 grill. That would be sweet!
Rob has used this particular vendor for aluminum radiators on several occasions (Restored HJ45 and a diesel converted 60 Series to name a few) and has been very satisfied with their product. I already have an aux transmission cooler and I intend to use an air to water Intercooler that can reside in the engine bay. As Onur mentioned, at some point budget becomes a factor.

I can't figure out how on earth your going to fit an Aux tranny cooler and a WtoA intercooler in the grill with all the A/C stuff up there.

That's the beauty of the A-W Intercooler. It doesn't need to be placed in the grill. The aux tranny cooler is already installed.
