The design utilizes the cutouts provided by ARB and is secured by the "BIG BOLTS" in the frame.
 
The design is featured in post 1180 and is available from Rob.
 
I also have the original hydraulic jack so all of the bases are covered. :)
 
Will the OEM jack work with a lifted cruiser and oversized tires? My experience is that lift leaf springs have so much flex that the tire will never actually raise off the ground if you go off the frame and the jack isn't tall enough if you go under the axle (bad idea anyway) or frame...Might want to carry some blocks, too :)

My 77 Series, along with my previous Cruisers, are part mall cruisers, part static displays (They live a very comfortable life) so the odds are in my favor. A couple of blocks might be a good idea however. : )

That is utilizing the spot that the high lift jack is supposed to rest on when you jack it up from the front bumper. So as long as your left front tire never needs replaced, your good. :bang::p
I was curious so I went and grabbed my high lift jack. There is more than adequate room for it to function as required above the recovery point.

Fabricating the recovery point.
Custom fabricated brackets to secure the sand ladders to the roof rack.
Custom fabricated seat covers.
Re-tinting some of the door trim that has suffered from 25 years of sun exposure.

If the high lift fits, snap a few photos for us. What's the price on one and how fast can he ship me one. I need one before cruise Moab.

There has been a significant amount of interest in Rob's recovery point design and he will be fabricating a second prototype using flat metal early next week. I'll post photos on Monday or Tuesday.

Although I insisted on keeping the fender mounted mirrors, there are some drawbacks. The addition of a wide angle mirror solves some of the issues. I no longer have to cringe when I merge into traffic. : )

You need a swamper with an orange flag riding on each side of the bull bar....

Does Rob have a strength value associated with this design? IE: at what tonnage they break/shear/bend?

I can see that bending into the ARB under a heavy side load winch-a-thon like this (in reverse of course):
