No rust on this truck even though it is in CT. PO told me that the truck came from California and buy the condition of the frame and body it is probably true.
The frame is immaculate, interior very clean, good tires. 151,000 miles. PO did a repaint that is not the quality that I do but it is acceptable. I bought the truck for a purpose that no loner is happening. I dont know how to post photos but can send them via email if there is interest. $2800 firm firm firm or it doesn't sell and I use it for a winter beater.

did you fix all these issues or will they be inherited by the new owner? i am assuming its the same vehicle since you posted the same pics on these threads and mention the transmission problems.

A local guy has a 1989 FJ62 157 K miles with a great body ( zero rust) for sale cheap. The transmission does not shift into 2nd smoothly and it does not kickdown to a lower gear. Could this be something so simple as needing a flush and filter cleaning? I would hate to buy it and get involved in rebuilding a tranny or looking for a good used on. Need advise please. Also the front end is completely loose and the steering wheel has about 6 inches of play. But thats no real big deal. Thanks, Ed

I was going to buy this cruiser to export to Central America but found out that the import duty was excessive. It has just been repainted silver buy the current owner. The paint job is not 100% professional but is really nice. The owner told me that the truck came from CA and I could not find any rust on the truck either on the body or the frame. The transmission has a delayed shift into second gear which maybe the kickdown cable and need for a flush. The front end is loose. Interior is very clean for a truck with 150K. I can email photos but do not know how to post them to this forum. The owner wants $2600 firm for the truck which I think is a great price for a clean FJ62 in the northeast. I have zero to gain from this sale just helping the seller and giving someone a chance to buy.

Yes Amir the steering box was adjusted and the kick down cable on the tranny were done and both problems were resolved. Thanks for reminding potential buyers of these problems which were nothings. What are you the protect the public from this seller police? The truck is in good condition and at a really good price. My advice to you is not to ask a seller what is their lowest price they will take. It is a real turnoff an I refuse to deal with buyers who try this without even seeing the truck.

Pulled from the market. I decided to keep it and drive it this winter rather than my newly painted FJ40. Thanks for all the interest. And Amir please keep all us dishonest sellers in check. Just kidding.
