1987 HDJ75 Land Cruiser Troopy Trakka Bushman, Nitro Gear’s “Cobby Bob”

We just it back from Goose Gear after handling the overland style interior build-out! Since we're in WA at Nitro Gear & Axle HQ again with it, figured we may as well give you a quick walk around. Watch & listen as we go over some of the modifications this Landcruiser has received so far! We love it! Feel free to post up questions or comments below - This HJ75 will be getting a full interior/exterior photoshoot, as well as a written article to be posted on our Blog. Blog: www.nitrogearaxle.wordpress.com Website: www.Nitro-Gear.com HUGE THANK YOU TO THE FOLLOWING SUPPORTING COMPANIES: Torfab Goose-Gear ARB 4x4 Accessories - USA Office Scheel-Mann Trakka Dometic SUPERWINCH GTurbo Diesel Performance Method Race Wheels Nitto Tire USA *************************************************************************************** Project name is “Cobby Bob” Named after the infamous Cobby Bob, an original Outback Bushman, that is caretaker at the Old Andado Station in the Australian Outback. We met cobby bob on the trip with 4wd Toyota Owner and Darren from Autocraft (there are two full articles printed on this in 4wd Toyota Owners magazine) More info: https://www.google.com/search?q=cobby... Seems suited, this is a Trakka Bushman from Australia, with tons of years and miles in the outback and the wear to prove it. Just like Cobby Bob

So far so good. I'm trying to retain the Leaf springs as long as I can. I may end up doing a radius arm type coil spring frontend eventually. But so far it is pretty nice for an old leaf sprung truck.

@just differentials how do you like the BP51's on the 75 series? I had never considered going that route even though I have them on my 80 and 200 series. Love them on the coil spring platforms.

who is the radiator made by?

Whats the tube on drivers side coming out of the radiator going back across the front of the motor?

The solenoid in the air box, is badass, I am having the same dilemma with mine. Was this a one off for Torfab, is it something they can replicate?

Interested in knowing this as well.

Troopy looks killer. I was mulling the idea of keeping one seat in the rear too, glad to see it looks feasable.
One-off using an exhaust cutout solenoid

What type of bike rack did you start from to modify it to fit on the swing out? I've been eyeing up that Cruiser Outfitters bumper and thinking about leaving that swing out blank to fit some sort of bike rack. I was thinking a tray mounted vertically, but yours can fit two bikes?
