No mods to seats, but they need to go forward a lot so people can climb into the back. are the floor mats special or what?

that guy in Canada did his own soft top and turned out nice...the hard part to replicate would be the OEM cross members to support the soft top...

And the removeable upper door frames.

12/25/14 Update
- just drove it from Jupiter, Florida to Key Largo which is south along Florida's Turnpike. Cruiser ran perfectly at 120kmph (aka 75mph) the whole way. Headwind the whole way and truck was stable and fun to drive. Mileage is about 136,700 kilometers

12/25/14 Update - send me a message if you want link to videos of truck running (taken today)

It is actually on ebay and CL now...will trade for Jeep Brute. The land cruiser turned out great but am going in a different direction for use.

PM me with questions!

Happy Holidays

:)

Just love this truck. Great job. I really need to import a Colombian FJ73 now. They look great with slightly bigger tires and soft tops as you have proven with your photos.

Yes Colombia did not get diesel trucks until recently. 2 reasons. The pre turbo diesels could not handle the mountains in terms of power and there was little infrastructure for diesel pumps out in countryside where the trucks lived. modern 1990s or later there are diesel toyotas that we do not see here in the USA.

I think a 70 series with a 3F and carb and 5 speed would be fun though.

Old photo of a couple 70 series with big tires at one of the shops I sometimes use. Old photo. These are 4.5 liter trucks likely 1990s models. We need to wait a bit to be able to import the 4.5 EFI models. With header and 5 speed these are quick trucks.
