As a smart ass, I can only tell you it is in the Eastern Hemisphere due to the steering wheel's location on the right side of vehicle...

I see a faint outline of a steering wheel on the right. Oh, and what appears to be an Australian tag.

Oh, no LHD V8s either....:)

76 (ugly front)
77 has leafs front and 6 bolt rims
For the benefit of those of us that don't have "Spider Man" vision and can't see the springs nor count the number of wheel lugs, is this one a 76 or 77 Series. :)

76. Kinda like this:

Well if that is "ugly" I guess I could adapt to ugly. ;)
Does the hood scoop indicate 76 Series or is that not an accurate indicator?

The 77 stopped in 1999 along with the stop of the 75. The 76 replaced it so you can have a 76 with the slim front or "newer" wide front. So that is a 76, a vdj76
The hole in the bonnet bulge indicates it has the turbo v8 diesel motor

I thought you were in the outback being productive.

I'm near certain this one had a gasoline V8

and this one was a turbo diesel

2009121414414941.webp

So I'm confused, just give me the keys, and don't tell me how much it costs, I just want to drive it.

In all of my research, I've very rarely seen TD's used in the (para)military/NGO/gov't sectors for the 7x application.

Mainly the 1HZ's.... now those might be forced induction... Petrol's of that ilk will probably be the 1GR-FE engine.

They want reliability
Na are reliable

My spidy vision is based on front clip, 60 series knock off front clip and it be 76
Unless some poor loser decided to graft that waste if tin and plastic onto the front of a real SUV 77

Wayne, I'm starting to get the sense that the 76 Series isn't your favorite Cruiser. ;)

In two days I'll be out back of Australia driving one of those cruisers.

INFORMAL SURVEY ......
I'm giving some thought to removing my rear canopy and going with a cleaner look like this HJ75.

I can come help you take it off, and find a place for it before the yard sale lady finds it collecting dust!

Keep it. We don't want to see you topless...
