Electric windows in a 70 series almost seems to modern for them

The cap will turn from side to side but will not budge otherwise. I want to sand it down and repaint it and perhaps replace it with a pre-cleaner.

I do not want to cut or otherwise modify the hood.

Hopefully there will be a turbo spooling WITH an inter cooler in the near future.

I think the only way to have no chop chop to panels is run a water to air intercooler.

in your case, screw the intercooler and keep the boost down below 12 PSI.
intercoolers are of minimal advantage below those boost levels.

I have the choice of driving a Cruiser that slowly gathers momentum ... (HJ75)
Or driving another Cruiser that does accelerate ( all be it slowly ) while consuming an enormous amount of gasoline in the process. ..... (80 Series)
Since I can't find another nice 70 Series, I might as well spend some more money on my current model.

I am headed to the paint shop next week and while I am there I am considering painting the rear bed steps with the same textured paint that was applied to the running boards. Any opinions on how that would look on an otherwise white truck?

I will be repainting the top sides of the rear bed as well as the top portion of the tailgate with a LineX type product. The inside of the rear bed is already painted with this product. I am tired of constantly "touching up" the current paint which is very subject to scratching and chipping with daily use. I still have the black paint available from the running boards and may just use it on the rear bed steps.

My yarns will be painted over.....
Spotting a 70 Series in Southern Georgia is akin to seeing a UFO so I can simply make up my on yarns.

Hello,

White stuff has an annoying habit of attracting dirt/dents/scuffs/mud/you name it even when it is sitting still doing nothing.

Either you go after every dent/spot/speckle/whatever or you just leave it to be fixed/cleaned when there many others like it.

Black and red have the same nasty habit.

You might as well consider painting it, say, nordic blue, which is better at hiding these imperfections. Or grey. Or beige.

Just my opinion.

To much money in the white paint ..... It will stay white however the high impact areas will have a little more durable paint than that shiny, highly polished stuff.

It was originally white so repainting it white was the logical ( and most economical )
choice.
