Is the brown BJ70 the one that was for sale on c-a-r-s.com? I was looking at that one for a while. I still prefer that color to the silver and black two-tone I wound up with.

Congrats on the twins!

I give up on what that thing is but my son is 15 and I think it would be a perfect first "car" for him (as opposed to that sweet orange thing in the back of picture #3)

um?..its not a thing is it????

Sorry but this photo seems to have caused some confusion. I own the HJ75...not the BJ70. I was simply pointing out that there a three 70 Series Cruisers in my small home town ( probably the highest concentration of 70 Series in the
U.S. :D) The BJ70 is still owned by "C-A-R-S.com" and is still for sale as far as I know.

.6 liter = 55 miles per gallon. :D ..... and I thought a 3B yielded good fuel economy.

Hello,

You guys beat me to it... Is it a Mehari or a Mehari Armée? (not sure of the spelling.) A couple more facts about it.

There was a civilian version intended for recreational use, known for its odd colors. While it was good for a beach ride, it also enjoyed acceptable off-road mobility.

Back when it was in production, The French Army was looking for a replacements of its aging Hotchkiss M28, essentially a license-built Jeep.

The process would eventually lead to the Peugeot P4, a Mercedes G-Class derivative with a French powertrain. In the meantime, the military needed a light vehicle. The Mehari was evaluated and accepted into service.

The military variant was known as the Mehari Armée (French for Army Mehari.)

Just my two cents.

Juan

[EDIT]: Armée is French for Army. Therefore, Mehari Armée stands for Army Mehari

Something to be said for a vehicle you can push out of the garage with one
hand. :D
"Mehari" is supposedly French for camel.
