2H Glow Plugs

Does anyone have a part number (s) for 2H glow plugs.
Thanks......

Has anyone experienced this? ...... A couple of days ago my HJ75 had great difficulty cranking (it turned over and over and over and finally came to life as if all of the glow plugs had failed or were only marginally working.)...thus the above inquiry. The very next day she fires right up multiple times and has cranked normally since. Does this sound like a "water in fuel" symptom?
Thanks.....

I would blame air before I blamed anything else.
Was it cranking at full speed?
If not your batteries or the connections to the batteries need attention
Water is heavier than fuel,so it tends to hang around the bottom of the tank.
Let the fuel get down low and drain the tank into a clear container and see what you have.

I have only found 1 small drop of water in my filters in 8 years of owning diesels

What ever the issue was it has now corrected itself. Starting perfectly now.:)
The HJ75 is now resting in the garage while I give the 4Runner a chance to prove itself.

Does anyone have a part number for the "starter" on my 2H powered truck?
(1985 HJ75 / 2H)

Sent from my iPad using IH8MUD... fun starts where the road ends

Thanks for the information. My local starter guru is under the impression the issue is internal ( faulty solenoid / relay ) and can be repaired without replacing the starter.
Hopefully he is correct.:)

For those of you who are as mechanically challenged as I am, I offer the following tip........ remove the battery cable prior to attempting to remove the starter.:D
If you don't I suggest you have spare underwear handy.:)

at your age you are still learning the hard way?

shicking revelation, eh?

On the plus side this experience has at least proven that I don't have a serious heart condition and my widow has not listed my HJ75 on Ebay.:D

Replaced a starter contact and polished up the starter gear and we are now back in business. The battery cable was removed this time.:)

As you can see "tall and skinny" tires are not a new phenomenon. ( 1928 Bentley) These are about 6" wide and waste high. I however doubt this vehicle has spent a lot of time off-roading.

In case you want something a little less tall. Notice how you can stack two on the rear tire carrier of this late '20's Mercedes.:)

I am trying to imagine how these would look on my HJ75.:D

I guess they would look better on a "pimped - out" Escalade than they would on a Cruiser anyway. :D

What is the common wisdom when it comes to oil change intervals ( mileage or kilometers ...2H diesel ) when using synthetic oil? ( Amsoil )
Thanks.......

don't use full synth, use dino and change every 5000 miles ...

Oops ...... A little late for that. The 2H held almost a full case of Amsoil 20W50 synthetic.
