FJ Cruiser thats a sore point as we don't get...except for a few imported.:p

US market is circa 28kUSD, here its 100kUSD due to import tax.

We get them here, but you just know from the people that buy them, they dont know s***.

In another 70 Series thread there is a photo of a beautiful 79 setting in the same garage as a Mercedes SLS however in my neck of the woods you are more apt to share garage space with a "green" machine. You will notice that it is fully equipped for an off-road adventure.:D

JD green

John Deere green and a cruiser side by side, man that just ain't right!

For those of you who are into vintage Land Cruisers and Dendrology. :D
A 27 year old Cruiser and a cypress swamp with 300 to 400 year old cypress trees.

Unfortunately these majestic old swamps are becoming a rarity due to the value of cypress lumber. This one fortunately is off "the beaten path" and has gone unnoticed by the timber industry.

I doubt its a conspiracy. Theyve done their marketing research and their sums and decided its not for North America.
You got the FJ Cruiser ,what more do you want? :D

When your only choices are between the Jeep Wrangler and the FJ Cruiser, the FJ starts to look a little better. You can always elect to buy a new Land Cruiser ( $60,000+) with a gas sipping V8. :D

actually ...
i think i would buy the Jeep before i bought the FJLoooooser

Blasphemy :D
While I would be the first to admit that the FJ is butt ugly at least it is built by a company whose products rank near the top in "quality and reliability" while the other companies "products" rank near the bottom.:)

In the interest of "political correctness" and not wanting to offend the FJ Cruiser owners out there I did not really mean "butt ugly." What I meant to say was that the FJ was not as attractive as the original Cruiser is was supposedly based on.:D

i have seen some ugly butts over the decades and, PC aside, they really are butt ugly.

With that attitude you are really jeopardizing your chances of being invited to be the quest speaker at the next FJCruiser jamboree. You have probably already been "black-balled" from the annual LJ78 meeting. :D

i get black balled at most events ...
those suit and tie events and I just don't seem to jive well.

I could easily see you addressing the LJ78 fan club. You could set in the drivers seat where of course you would have to turn around to address all of the attendees which would easily fit in the center seats. The oversized pyrometer and aftermarket water temp. gauge would make a nice "back-drop" for your presentation. :D

I thought about pulling into this 1950's era barn this morning to get out of the weather but after taking a close look at the "structural integrity" I decided it might be prudent to remain outside. :D Old barns have character....much like old Cruisers.
