That's the type of split bench seats that I am looking for and appear to be original except for the fabric. The ones I have ridden in personally appear to have more of a canvas type material.
"One of my greatest fears is that my wife will sell my guns after my death for what I told her I paid for them" has now changed to " .......will sell my cruiser ...."

Thats definately original early 75 series and its very similar to late 47 series.
A tribute to Toyotas quality that they have lasted that long and probably would have lasted longer if the sun hadnt got to them.

Ill post a pic of mine later when I have time.

Thanks Ross. I look forward to seeing both yours and Wayne's interior photos.

You have to admit that placing the guns in the bed of the truck would make it very convenient for those attending the yard sale.:D

...... You just have to be willing to spend an obscene amount of money and have the ability to hide that fact from your spouse.....

So you must have some offshore fund for cruisers.

Oh and it sounds like your company may be changing names and be based out of DFW. ;)

No offshore accounts.:) I simply hide my "Cruiser cash" in old jelly jars that are buried in the back yard. I explain the fresh dirt by blaming it on the armadillos.:D
After nearly 3 decades in the airline industry and countless mergers I finally understand that the employees are simply along for the ride. I have yet to have a CEO call and ask my opinion.:)

Still looking for interior ( seat material ) photos........thanks

Stopped by my neighbors house today ( he is the Wayne Smith of early Jeeps :D ) to get my weekly "made in America" fix. Hope you enjoy these pieces of history as much as I do.:)

Yes I know my photography skills are sorely lacking....
The last photograph is the best of both worlds....a real Jeep and a Land Cruiser in the same frame.:D

is that a rare LJ75 pickup in the back ground??

I wish you would not use the letters "LJ".....it gives me unpleasant flashbacks and yes it is indeed rare in the backwoods of Georgia.

"just buggin yah" ..... I would expect no less.:)

"it is a beautiful ride you scored" .... Thanks, ( Only the HZJ77 peaks my interest more )

Damned dog ,as soon as I open the landcruiser door and get the camera out she shows up.
She slept in the cruiser for 7 hours the other day,I think she is hoping we'll go out in the bush.
She loves hanging out the window barking, but usually I put her in the back to save my ears.
When we go out in the morning she hangs around the cruiser and looks disappointed when I take the Commodore

a dog says a lot about the master ...
that one seems pretty laid back and trusting.
what breed is he?
