I have a nice 1985 HJ75 for sale. It's a diesel 4.00cc 6 cylinder engine. It has 300k miles(500k kilometers) on the odometer. It has a few rust spots on the body, but no other, and no bondo work. It runs strong and everything works correctly. It passed all the mechanic's tests. I'm asking $18,500 for it. If anyone is interested in it please email angelatencio1@hotmail.com
I do have more pics.

Same here...I don't mind someone acting as a broker and evening charging a free to help facilitate a export and sale. Flipping is usually a premium that exceeds what it should cost. Buying directly from the owner is the way to go hands down. There are brokers out there who can help arrange the legal requirements to get it imported. I've chatted with this seller/flipper and she seems sincere. Problems each vehicle is being packaged with incorrect information which we can only assume is because they don't know. She claims her husband knows Cruisers very well yet posts with incomplete or inaccurate info. The old adage of you get what you put in comes to mind ;) There's my morning rant lol. Love the truck though!

Yes, it is an HJ75..sorry, I do know it's an HJ, but when you're dealing with BJs all the time, it just slipped in there. I try to get all my t's crossed and i's dotted when I put the description, but when you have a 4 year old, 3 year old, and a 9 month old sitting on your lap trying to grab the keyboard, sometimes it doesn't come out perfect....lol

And you're right RichardsBJ, there is a lot that goes into working with 2 governments to import a vehicle, esp the Costa Rican side, not to mention unscrupulous Costa Rican customs brokers who don't want to do their job. If anyone wants to try to import one of these...good luck and they will never try it again is all I can say!

How much duct tape is there under the hood of this one holding things together?

Lol...I guess I'll have to post an engine picture to show you.

Lady, if you are trying to get into the auto import/sales business you are going about it in ALL of the WRONG ways!

 :censor: :whoops: :hhmm:  :bang:

Judging by the responses to your multiple "ads" on this site, you would be better off to stick with Ebay for your sales. You don't seem to like us and we don't seem to like you too much either.

Hi, thanks for trying to get this business going. There is a lot of demand for the types of cruisers that are available in CR.

This crowd is very tough on you because they have seen (although most not in person) a number of CR and other central and south american land cruisers that have been beat to almost death in the plantations and then covered with new paint and bondo and sold as restored and or rust free.

To win this crowd over you will need to be very honest and knowlegable about the trucks you selling. Several examples of not being knowlegable about the HJ45 were very apparent. The true milage of that truck may have been 89K as you posted, but if you knew about cruisers you, or your husband would have noticed that the odometer had been dismantled and then put back together wrong. That, and several other things immediately made all the other statements (which could very well be true) suspect.

I don't think anyone will begrudge you for trying to make money when you resell these vehicles, and anyone that tried to import and ship from another country knows the value you provide.

Don't give up. You can list your sales on e-bay if you want, but the best info about land cruisers will be found on this site. You would instantly get some more respect if you bought a vendor star for this site.

Once you have shown that you are trustworthy and knowledgable, you might want to offer the inspection and shipping service to people that want to make their own deal with the original seller in CR.

Anyway, don't give up on mud yet, just get more knowledgable.

Don't think seller is a scammer just not knowledgable. That and if you provide a service do your homework and get the facts so a buyer can make an informed decisions. I think the crew here has been harsh but I also think she should not expect to act as a middle person and get paid without providing a full knowledgable service. My 0.02

the idea of selling a vehicle as "i have a ..." and then finding out you don't even own it.
that is a lie.
if you said, "i have access to ...." then, at the time of posting, it would be truth.

you and i have had numerous conversations both on your selling ads and in private.

i would recommend that due diligence be firmly applied when thinking of purchasing from this seller.
