For sale is my father's 1983 FJ40. He lost his battle with cancer last August so now I'm selling one of his FJ40's. This cruiser has been garaged since purchase. As it sits right now, it is drivable, but all the fluids should be changed.
136K original miles.
Has factory air conditioning and power steering.
All emissions components are installed.
New Old Man Emu springs and new shocks.
New radiator.
New front windshield.
New fuel pump.
I do have the spare tire carrier.
Has engine oil leak. Location unknown.
Front seat covers are torn up. New seat covers included, just needs installed.
Front wheel seals are leaking. New front wheel seal kit included, just needs installed.
Fuel gage doesn't seem to work all the time.
Unsure if amp meter works or not. It doesn't seem to move, but I'm more used to the pre 78 FJ40's where they move around a lot.
Missing headliner.
Previous owner repainted it with the original color and put the diamond plate on it. He also did some metal repairs inside on the tub. It appears the tub was rusted thru at where the roll bar mounts in all 4 locations. Looks like he cut the tub and welded in some new metal in those areas. Also the rear quarter panels have been cut up to the bottom of the rear wheel wells and left that way. There are 2 rusted areas on the roof panel supports on the inside. The inner rocker panels have holes in the bottom and the step rail supports are rusted. I do have a spare step that is included. Floor pans appear to be solid and in good shape.
